ArtVilnius’24 the largest contemporary art fair in the Baltic States took place between October 4–6 ended on Sunday at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre Litexpo. Celebrating its fifteenth birthday this year, the fair organized a real art festival for the participants, galleries, and visitors.
More than 300 artists, 67 contemporary art galleries, and 15 institutions from 14 countries around the world took part in the 15th edition of the art fair, which this year took the slogan “Celebrate Art!”.
Prizes Awarded to the Best of the Art Fair ArtVilnius’24
The jury awarded:
- The best ArtVilnius’24 artist award by Crème de la Crème, the high-end perfumery brand | Eglė Gineitytė, a painter presented at the fair by The Room Gallery.
- The best installation award by Nescafé Dolce Gusto | sculpture For Sale (Parduodama), one of the participants of The Path, placed next to Litexpo, created by Danas Aleksa.
- The Best Young Artist Award awarded by ArtVilnius’ Maecenas, the law firm Cobalt | Rachele Libeskind, her work, presented by the Düsseldorf gallery wildpalms.

Visitors Select Their Favorites:
- ArtVilnius’24 Audience Select Gallery | The Rooster Gallery was awarded a special Volfas Engelman prize;
- ArtVilnius’24 Audience Select Artist | Saulius Vaitiekūnas, his work, the interactive installation The Unbearable Lightness of Being, was presented by the gallery Terra recognita. An Artist was awarded a special Volfas Engelman prize.
ArtVilnius’24 jury:
- Andres Kreuger, curator, writer, and director of Kohta, a private art center in Helsinki founded on the initiative of the artists;
- Art historian, critic, exhibition curator, professor at Vilnius Academy of Arts, the first ArtVilnius art director Prof. Dr. Raminta Jurėnaitė;
- Book author, curator, art fair researcher Dr. Pacco Barragán from Madrid;
- Martis Manen, co-director of the Index Foundation and head of the CuratorLab advanced curatorial course from Stockholm;
- Žaneta Fomova, art collector, art patron, and founder of the JCDecaux Prize exhibition series.
