Aira Naginevičiūtė is undoubtedly one of the personalities who created and still creates the history of Lithuanian contemporary dance. The “Pregnant Silence” installation reveals essential themes in different creative periods. Processes covering the 1989-2020 era are a set of reactions to the historical, social and cultural situation of Lithuania. In the first years of Independence, the choreographer’s radical work began to shape the field of Lithuanian contemporary dance and continues to this day.
