For what was I created

An installation based on the re-make principle invites the viewer to reflect on the portrait aesthetics of the backyard and homestead space versus industrial leftovers in urban environments.
Personified sculptural objects indentify themselves with their portrayed fictional owners. The artwork asks for feedback from the creator “what is my purpose?“ and by doing so it raises a dilemma between the artist and their work. Perhaps the now autonomous artwork ridicules the author itself?
The motivation of pathalogical hoarding is leading a parallel between the usage of art and the intuitive accumulation of items as a glimpse of the ready-made tradition.
Hoarding becomes a tool of self expression and means of storytelling. The title of the installation transfers the viewer to a meta – reality in which the properties of the materials used contradict with the narrative that the artwork is trying to create, leaving the viewer to grasp only a cryptic state of inner conflict.
The artisans handcraft is a form of love for the artwork that serves no purpose.
