“Shells” is a series of objects that synthesizes the motifs of the Siren myth – the wax used to plug the sailors’ ears – and the scientific narrative – the invention of the Helmholtz resonator. The main idea of the series is to poetically resound exactly what prevented Odysseus’ sailors from hearing the Sirens – the wax in the ears.
