Gallery “Arka” – one of the largest Contemporary Art Galleries in Vilnius old town, 6 exhibition halls contain 500 m2 of exhibition space. Founded by the Lithuanian Artist‘s Association, it was opened in 1990 and is centrally located in the old town of Vilnius, in the architectural ensemble of a XVI Basilian convent. Gallery works in the field of contemporary art and cultural exchange projects, as well as organizing solo, group, curated exhibitions, biennials and interdisciplinary projects. During the year ARKA gallery arranges 20-30 exhibitions in cooperation with professional curators, artists, galleries, art museums and other cultural institutions.
