Drifts was founded in December 2022 at the heart of Vilnius historical old town near Cathedral Square by Jolanta Laurent. The title comes from Kate Zambreno’s novel Drifts (2020) and is a reference to the circumstances of the gallery’s establishment, the search for its form and the aesthetics of change.
Drifts represents emerging artists and focuses on questioning what is contemporary to our times, reflecting on humanity and the process of creativity. The exhibition program is based on collaboration with curators, cooperation with other galleries and institutions, participation in art fairs to ensure the global outlook. The gallery program is highly dedicated to artists’ creativity and tailored to foster collecting practice.
