The Irena Mikuličiūtė gallery presents the works of graphic artist Elvyra Katalina Kriaučiūnaitė, painters Irena Mika and Solveiga Gutautė, ceramicist Beatričė Kelerienė and installaon creator Vaiva Monika Lanskoronskytė.For graphic artist Elvyra Katalina Kriaučiūnaitė, the possibilities of creating with handmade paper, revealed in her native Argentina, in the artist Ricardo Crivelli’s workshop, became the basis of her work and the process took on a ritualistic meaning.
Painter Irena Mika explores the topics that have been of concern to her for quite some time – continuous process, inner journey, existential questions – with portraits of various historical and contemporary personalities, as well as her own. Meanwhile, for the artist Solveiga Gutautė, not only the interaction between man and nature is important, but also the connection with the cosmos, involving the viewer through the abstractions of minimalism in colour.
The universe unfolding in the works of ceramist Beatričė Kellerienė is the painting of melted wood ash on her works, created by nature. This efect is gained by using anagama burning technique.Young artist Vaiva Lanskoronskytė presents an installation of mixed graphic technique prints on non-traditional surfaces and ready-made element.
