Louise Gallery
It al started in Tongeren, about 14 years ago. After serious illnesses of the friends Patrick & Herman, Gallery Phase was founded in a charming little house dating from 1850 at the Leopoldwal, 60 in Tongeren, Belgium. At first it was a kind of hobby of Patrick, who had contacts in the art world for many years. But it was also intended for Herman, to have further social contacts after his career as maître in the best restaurants in Belgium and the
Netherlands. Patrick was a member of the jury, “De Negende Maand”. The jury decided on art purchases for public places in the city of Tongeren. Amongst others, works by Nadia Naveau, Nick Ervinck and Hans op de Beeck were realized in Tongeren, the oldest city of Belgium. Gallery Phase opens its doors every Sunday during the antiques market in Tongeren, and by appointment. Afew years later Louise Gallery opened in Durbuy in collaboration with the renowned hotel-restaurant Le Sanglier des Ardennes.
