wildpalms represents a diverse range of artists from Latin America, Canada, and the United States in Germany.
wildpalms, created by Alexandra Meffert & Jorge Sanguino is a platform that focuses on artistic research, social practices, the environment, and sustainability.
Our exhibitions are the result of a rigorous curatorial process, informed by text production and engagement with critical discourses. This approach amplifies the voices of art professionals working in specific regions in North, Central, and South America.
Through an intensive outreach program, such as talks, workshops, conferences and publication of articles in various critical media, wildpalms has managed to consolidate discourses that go beyond the established artistic canon.
wildpalms has played a pivotal role in introducing Latin American contemporary artists to Germany. We have successfully placed positions such as Felipe Castelblanco, Roberto Uribe, Mauricio Limon to institutional circles and collectors.
The name wildpalms derived from the book “The Wild Palms”, 1939 by William Faulkner.
