Ievgen Petrov
Ievgen Petrov was born in 1972 in Kherson and lives and works in Odesa. He is considered one of the most prominent Ukrainian watercolorists of this time. He is known for his hyper-realistic watercolor works, as well as his graphic and sculptural work. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions, he has taken part in art fairs in Ukraine, England, the USA, Turkey, the EU, Bahrain, and his works are in 25 private international collections. The artist’s use of the classical watercolor technique is rare in contemporary art, and the size and hyper-realistic precision of Petrov’s works are striking. One of the main themes of Petrov’s works is the social and economic phenomena that annoy society, and an ironic look at his everyday life in the city of Odesa.
