A celebration for the uninvited
Vilnius is a city of endless celebrations. From the masked balls of the 18th century, where you could hide not only your face but also your status in society for the night, to today’s parties, where uninvited entry is sometimes a fashionable challenge. A rendezvous of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union’s gallery Medūza and the art/music space Draugų vardai invites you to meet in a space you were never meant to be in, and experience a party to which no one was invited. The works on display are allusions to past and yet-to-be exhibitions of the Medūza programme, eclectic interventions by young artists, and quotations from the spaces of Medūza and Draugų vardai.
