Description of the presented project:
“Posture” is an authentic technique sculpture that explores the daily challenge to stand on one’s feet, to maintain an upright position and to overcome the gravitational force that weighs down the shoulders.
The sculpture wants to collapse to the plane and yield to Newton’s law, until Archimedean force begins to push back and prevents it from sinking. The force-distributing membrane – the form – is the result of a balance between these forces. Like skin, it adapts to the conditions it is exposed to. In some places, it bulges like a bicep, while in others, wrinkles begin to form. The joints crack, intervertebral fluids surge. Finally, after brushing the sand off the forms, you find an ossified mass resembling a bone, whose origin is not entirely clear.
